Niles McArthur is a General Contractor with 20 years experience in the trades. Together with his wife Jessica, brother Chance, and a small crew Tricks of the Trades helps clients remodel, restore, and repair their Oregon homes. We have developed relationships with professional sub-contractors over the years who help us as needed.

Niles is an artist which helps lend a creative eye to his remodeling work. Our clients appreciate his ability to suggest ways their home improvement projects can have less of an impact on the environment, and their project budgets.

Because we are invested in this business as a family and a team we recognize each project is about the process as much as the product. We work closely with our clients and hope to create long term working relationships.

During your initial contact via either phone or email with Jessica we will discuss your project to see if we are a good fit for your needs. We can discuss the size and scope of the project, potential timeline, your expectations and any initial work you may have done. We also will discuss the design process, construction documents and permits.

At this time we can schedule a time for Niles to meet with you and walk the project. While photos are always helpful, we like to personally meet each and every potential client to discuss their individual project needs. Weather it is a whole attic conversion, a kitchen remodel, or just a paint job Niles is the General Contractor who works on every project.
